Giant Perianal Condyloma Successfully Treated with Podophyllin at 25% in Solid Petrolatum

Abstract Purpose Giant perianal condyloma (GPC) is a rare condition. The effective treatment multidisciplinary challenge; topical treatments are usually ineffective, and surgical resection has significant morbidity. Podophyllin at 25% in solid petrolatum (25%PSP) can be an option for GPC. aim of the present study was to assess its response tolerability. Methods This retrospective, single-center case series evaluated clinical 14 patients with GPC treated 25%PSP public hospital Buenos Aires between December 2015 2019. After obtaining full history performing physical exam, lesions were measured photographed. Biopsies performed exclude malignancy, as well exams rule out pregnancy. administered topically cases washed off by home after 4 hours. underwent least weekly visits, which included interval history, photodocumentation lesions, provider-applied 25%PSP. rate assessed comparing measurements overall decrease volume based on photos from first last sessions. Adverse outcomes noted. Results In total, 10 men, 3 women, 1 transgender woman unresponsive prior mean age 34.5 years included. A total 12 immunosuppressed. All circumferential 8 cm 20 cm. Overall, 7 had genital outside anus perianus; histology showed low-grade squamous intraepithelial all cases. While treatment, reported dermatitis, 71% ≥ 75% reduction lesion size. Conclusions effective, well-tolerated
